Payment Options
The City of Wells offers a variety of convenient payment options for our residents. Choose the option that best suits your needs.
Please pay bills at Wells City Hall during regular business hours. Mailed payments will be posted by the United States Postal Service, not the date written on the check. When mailing payments from the Wells Post Office, please use the inside top mail slot marked local mail. The outside blue box will be sent out of town to be processed, and payments will be delayed from being received.
The city council sets all rules and regulations. Discussion of these rules & regulations can be done with the council at the regular meetings held on the 2nd Monday of every month promptly at 7:00 p.m.
(Neither the city employees nor the mayor can change the rules and regulations).

Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay
Many financial institutions, such as major banks, offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Usually, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.
